Ultra High Strength Galvanized Steel Strands of WISCO Reaching World Advanced Level

Recently, WISCO’s project on Integrated Innovation and Product Development in the Manufacturing Technology of Ultra High Strength Galvanized Steel Strands passed scientific and technological achievement appraisal, recognizing this achievement reached world advanced level; among which, the comprehensive mechanical property of galvanized steel strands with certain grades reached world leading level.

Based on the features of high speed wire rods line, WISCO carried out research on key process technology, and successfully developed ultra high strength galvanized steel strands.

With its prominent property, ultra long, large-section and ultra high-strength features, these serial products have been applied in EHV and UHV long distance river-crossing transmission projects in China.
