77% of aluminium aerosol container production is delivered to thecosmetics market, with 5% to the pharmaceutical industry, for use in products such as asthma inhalers and refrigeration sprays.
In Japan, over two billion resealable bottle cans are sold each year.

Unlike beverage cans, which are produced from sheets of aluminium, aluminium bottles, aerosol containers and tubes are formed using a process known as impact extrusion. Like beverage cans, 

however, they are infinitely recyclable.

A collapsible aluminium tube, once squeezed, remains squeezed and will not spring back to draw air and micro-organisms into the tubes, ensuring a high level of hygiene.
